Dr. Eric Olson

Eric Olson MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in general dermatology and early skin cancer detection and treatment.   

​

Dr. Olson was born in Rochester, Minnesota but later moved to Spokane, Washington where he attended high school. He graduated from the University of Oregon on an athletic and academic scholarship with a bachelor of science degree. Notably, as an Oregon Duck Quarterback, he threw the first touchdown pass at Autzen Stadium.  He went on to earn his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in 1973.

Dr. Olson completed an internal medicine internship at the Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco and went into active duty for the US Army from 1974 to 1980. He completed his dermatology residency training at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco.

​

Dr. Olson started his dermatology practice in Springfield in 1980 and has enjoyed over 40 years as the owner of a successful clinic. Evergreen Dermatology is thrilled to welcome Dr. Eric Olson, a prominent, skillful, and well-respected physician with a long-standing history serving Lane County, to our practice.

​

In his free time, Dr. Olson enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Sheri, his two grown children, and his lovely granddaughter.
